Raymond Evison Clematis 'Baroness Fookes'

  • Large, two-toned flowers that bloom twice per year? Erm, yes please! 'Baroness Fookes' is a simply lovely clematis variety, and one we think you should know about!
  • The flowers comprise mauve central bandings surrounded with ruffled violet edges, while red anthers help the blooms really shine. Held against the lush green foliage, these blooms scream impact.
  • Hardy and simple to grow, the compact nature of this variety (growing to just one metre or so in height) makes it a good pick for container growing, or placing near the front of beds and borders.
  • This plant requires just a simple prune each year. Check out our guide, Clematis Pruning Guide & Groups Explained, for more information.
  • 'EviGsy156'
  • Bred by the iconic Raymond Evison at his Guernsey nursery.
  • Please note: our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out.
